Children are offered a play-based curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), especially tailored to the needs of each child.
A high ratio of qualified adults to children makes individual care and attention possible. Children benefit from a 'Key Person' who ensures they have the opportunity to play, have fun and develop friendships with children and adults in the group.
Aims, Vision and Ethos
Our aim is to enhance the development and education of the children in our care in a safe, secure and stimulating environment; working within a framework that ensures equality of opportunity for all children.
We recognise that parents are the first and most important educators of their young children, so we work alongside parents to ensure continuity of care and routines.
We aim to ensure parents and families are secure in the knowledge that their children are safe and happy in their absence. We welcome friendship and communication with parents.
Parents, who have items of interest or special skills, are encouraged and welcomed into the group to share their skills, knowledge and expertise with other children.
The nursery strives to achieve the highest standards of care, education and experience for children.
We do this through continuous professional development of staff. Constantly assessing, evaluating and reflecting on practice, to provide the best possible professional service, combined with the most appropriate and stimulating equipment, for children to learn and have fun in a challenging but safe environment.
We encourage very high standards of behaviour and mutual respect within the nursery. Rising Fives aims to provide your child with the highest level of care and education in our homely, safe and stimulating environment.
Our intention is that every child leaves the nursery with happy memories and an enthusiasm for learning.
